My Journey into Health & Wellness

If you’re reading this, I want you to know one thing first:
You’re not here because something is “wrong” with you.
You’re here because, somewhere inside, you’re craving more ease, balance, and joy in your life.

My journey into health and wellness didn’t start with perfect habits or having all the answers. It started with curiosity—and compassion.
I began my formal health journey seven years ago at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). That experience opened my eyes to a powerful truth: there is no single definition of “healthy.” What nourishes one person may not nourish another. This is where the concept of bioindividuality truly resonated with me. As Joshua Rosenthal, the founder of IIN, often said, “One person’s food can be another person’s poison.”
From there, my learning around holistic well-being naturally expanded. Over the years, I had the privilege of studying with teachers who helped me see the body and mind through deeper, more nuanced lenses.
Through Traditional Chinese Medicine with Andrea Beaman, I learned how to observe the body through visual assessment, understanding signs such as complexion, tongue, posture, and energy. I studied organ systems and meridians, learning how different organs communicate with one another and how imbalance can show up long before disease. I was also introduced to the wisdom of herbs and foods as medicine, supporting the body gently and intelligently rather than forcing change.
I then trained in Life Coaching with Deepak Chopra, where my understanding expanded beyond the physical body. This work taught me how deeply our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions shape our health and our lives. I saw how limiting beliefs—often unconscious—can hold us back from achieving what we truly desire, whether that’s better health, confidence, or fulfillment. When we begin to shift awareness and mindset, transformation becomes possible from the inside out.
At that point, I knew it was time to put this knowledge into practice and truly support others. I earned my National Board Certification, which strengthened my ability to work ethically, skillfully, and compassionately. Most importantly, it reinforced one of my core values: meeting clients exactly where they are. No judgment. No pressure. Just support, collaboration, and realistic steps that feel doable in real life.
And now, I’m diving deeply into the Science of Life—Ayurveda, studying with Nidhi Pandya.
Ayurveda has brought everything together in a way that feels both ancient and incredibly relevant. It has given me a deeper understanding of food, the body, seasons, environment, daily rhythms, and how all of these interact uniquely for each individual.
The more I learned, the more I realized that health is not about following rules—it’s about learning how to listen.
So many people struggle not because they lack discipline, but because they’re trying to live in ways that are misaligned with their body, their season of life, or their environment. When we align ourselves, health becomes more intuitive and far less exhausting.
I believe that small, consistent steps create lasting change, and healing looks different for everyone. What we all need is a balance of awareness, discipline, love, and support.
Health is not about perfection or control. It’s about building a relationship with your body rooted in respect, curiosity, and kindness.
I support people who are tired of extremes and quick fixes. People who want better digestion, energy, sleep, and daily balance—without guilt or pressure. People who want sustainable habits that fit into real life.
My role isn’t to “fix” you. My role is to support, guide, and walk alongside you as you reconnect with your body and create health practices that actually feel nourishing.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring about your well-being. And thank you for honoring your journey—exactly as it is.
With love and gratitude,
Gulshan
